Dubai SME members, under a partnership with Dubai Holding, won contracts worth AED 17 million in the first half of 2016. It states that 48.7 per cent of the beneficiaries were service providers winning AED 8.5 million, while diverse sectors such as public services, advertising, logistics and consultancy won 44.9 per cent of contracts worth AED 7.8 million. Food sector companies accounted for 6.4 per cent of the total and 46 Emirati enterprises were also beneficiaries. The aim of the partnership is to support competitive entrepreneurs across the emirate and UAE.
