His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of Dubai Executive Council, inaugurated the largest Arabic audio library in the world.

Targetting nearly 7 million visually impaired people in the Arab world, the Dubai Audio Library aims to spread a culture of reading in the community.

On the occasion, His Highness uploaded the first book 'Zayed Diwan' - a collection of 87 poems written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in honour of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Undertaken by the RTA, in collaboration with the website Bookshare, it will empower more than 10,000 volunteers to convert Arabic books into digital format and aims to provide 300,000 books in Arabic.
