Sharjah Police are reminding football fans not to carry dangerous items into stadiums while attending Asian Cup games.
The measures are aimed at ensuring smooth access to the venue and a safe environment.
Sticks, weapons, bottles and lasers are among the items prohibited.
It’s expected to be a busy weekend with matches lined up across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah.

The security committee for the Asian Cup in Sharjah sets special rules for the fans when entering the Sharjah Stadium SHARJAH- The Security Committee of the Asian Cup for Sharjah Group bans fans from carrying of sticks, bottles, cans, weapons and sharp materials, fireworks, lasers, perfumes, electronic and regular cigarettes inside the Sharjah international stadium during tournaments. The committee’s responsibility to apply the conditions, regulations, and standards of FIFA and AFC rules related to certain items that are banned from entering the Sharjah International Stadium during the matches. The move has come as part of the Sharjah Police General Command's keenness to provide the highest standards of safety and security for the emirate's sporting process and to achieve excellence and creativity in the organizational aspects of the international tournaments to be held in the country. , The committee also bans the use of loudspeakers and horns (except with official permission), batteries and cameras, as well as smoking, eating and drinking inside the stadium The Sharjah Police praises the cooperation of the sports fans with the Organizing Committee and urges them to adhere to the rules and regulations.
