UK unveils tool to tackle online extremism

The United Kingdom has produced a tool it says can find extremist content online and block anyone from viewing it.

It's been developed by an Artificial Intelligence company in London, with government funding.

Thousands of hours of content from the IS has been put through the tool to teach it to spot extremist material.

The UK government says it won't rule out forcing tech companies to use it.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd is in California to discuss the idea, and other ways of tackling extremism online, with tech firms.
