Passenger traffic at DXB reaches 7.6 million in April

Passenger traffic at Dubai International touched 7.6 million in April.

That's according to the Dubai Airport monthly traffic report, which marked a 0.8 per cent rise in year-to-date traffic compared to the same period in 2017.

Eastern Europe was marked the fastest expanding market with traffic growing 28 per cent, followed by CIS at 17.7 per cent, and Africa at 9.9 per cent.

India maintained its position as the top destination country with a staggering 1,027,267 passengers, while Saudi Arabia came second with 556,640 passengers. UK recorded 530,404 passengers and Pakistan at 369,493 passengers.

London was the top destination city with 315,979 passengers, followed by Mumbai and Jeddah.

The average number of passengers per movement during April remained high at 230 compared to 225 during the same month in 2017, marking an increase of 2.2 per cent.
