New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 35 runs in the one-off Twenty20 International at Auckland.

The visitors were all out for 144 in response to the Black Caps' score of 179 for 7.

After opting to bowl, Sri Lanka started well with some quick wickets but Doug Bracewell (44) and Scott Kuggeleijn (35 not out) helped the hosts post a competitive total.

In reply, Sri Lanka kept up with the required run rate to be 118-4 after 12 overs but their last six wickets fell for the addition of only 26 more runs as their innings folded with 19 balls remaining.

Lockie Ferguson finished with figures of 3-21 while Ish Sodhi took 3-30.

Earlier, New Zealand won a two-Test series 1-0 and a three-match One-Day International series 3-0 against Sri Lanka.
