Japan and Iran face-off for spot in Asian Cup final

Japan will look to continue their march towards a fifth Asian Cup title when they take on Iran in the semi-final on Monday evening.

The Blue Samurai have won four of the last seven editions but will face a tough task getting past Carlos Queiroz's side, who are yet to concede a goal in this year's tournament.

Yoshinuri Muto is set to return for Japan after being suspended for their quarter-final victory over Saudi Arabia, while Iran will be without forward Mehdi Taremi.

Kick-off in Al Ain is at 18:00, with the winner going on to face either the UAE or Qatar in Friday's showpiece.
