A day after Taliban launched an attack on Afghan intelligence base there have been conflicting reports on the death toll.
While the authorities had initially put the death toll at 12, they revised it to 65.
This when some media reports have totalled it to 100.
The militants had detonated a vehicle packed with explosives at a training centre of the National Directorate for Security in Wardak province, before two gunmen, dressed in uniforms used by Afghan special forces, arrived in a car and opened fire.
The attackers were gunned down, officials said, but most of the casualties were caused by a roof collapse.
This comes just days after a Taliban suicide bomber targeted the convoy of Logar province's governor, killing at least seven security guards.
