A private school in Dubai has been granted approval to give its senior students a shorter week.
As part of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority's (KHDA) Rahhal programme, Indian High School Dubai has applied to cut down the work week for students in grade 11 and 12.
They've requested to reduce it from five to three-and-a-half days.
The new system will come in to effect when their next academic year gets underway in April.
The extra day and a half is intended to allow pupils to pursue their interests outside the classroom.
