In a major education milestone for the UAE, Aldar has announced an exclusive partnership with the prestigious King’s College School Wimbledon to establish its first regional campus on Abu Dhabi’s Fahid Island.
Set to open in September 2028, pending regulatory approvals, the new K-12 super-premium school will cater to over 2,200 students and offer a direct pathway to some of the world’s top universities.
Spanning 50,000 square metres, the campus will blend cutting-edge facilities, world-class academics and a strong focus on student wellbeing — all set within Fahid Island’s master-planned community, designed to promote balanced, nature-connected living.
Recognised globally for its academic excellence, King’s College School Wimbledon is one of the UK’s top independent schools, known for developing high-achieving, well-rounded students.
"With King’s longstanding legacy of academic distinction and its proven track record of preparing students for the world’s top universities, this new school at the heart of Fahid Island will further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier destination for world-class education and a global centre for talent development," said Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group CEO at Aldar.
"The school’s holistic approach to education, anchored in strong values, rich co-curricular programmes, and personalised pastoral care, will add a new dimension to Aldar Education’s offering and further support Abu Dhabi’s vision to become a regional hub for excellence in education," added Sahar Cooper, CEO of Aldar Education.
The new King’s College School marks the first phase of Aldar’s education strategy for Fahid Island, with more institutions planned.
Across Abu Dhabi, Aldar Education is on track to add over 4,000 new student places by the 2028–29 academic year — expanding high-quality, globally recognised learning options across the emirate.
