Jeremy Renner made his first public appearance on the red carpet since his snowplough accident at the premiere of his new Disney+ series "Rennervations".

The series follows Renner as he travels the world to give back to communities by repurposing trucks and buses from his massive fleet of vehicles into unique and purpose-filled ones.

The Westwood, CA premiere was well attended with hundreds present at the venue, including Disney CEO Bob Iger and Disney Entertainment Co-Chairmen Dana Walden.

Despite using a cane, the Hawkeye star chatted with reporters and shared his enthusiasm for the show.

Renner said that working on Rennervations "means the world" to him as he strives to inspire children by giving them opportunities.

The first episode of the series features Renner and his team creating a mobile recording studio for a Chicago-based kids' programme by repurposing an old black tour bus from his fleet. The show aims to inspire and provide opportunities to kids who may not have access to them.

After the premiere, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel hosted a panel with Renner and members of the cast, where the Marvel star received a standing ovation. During the panel, Kimmel asked Renner about his accident and plans to repurpose the 14,000-lb snowcat that ran over him on January 1. Renner replied that the snowcat is a necessity on the property and that his mom wants to light it on fire and have a party.

Despite suffering more than 30 broken bones, Renner urged Disney+ not to delay the premiere of Rennervations while he was still in the hospital.
