Buried WWI submarine emerges off French coast

A World War One submarine that belongs to Germany has been emerged off the French coast.

It is slowly resurfacing on a beach near Calais after being buried in sand for close to 80 years.

It's assumed that the crew of the marine vessel flooded the submarine and abandoned it.

Because of tides and shifting sands, it's usually only visible every two to three years.
