The Arab region needs to share best practices if it wants to have more sustainable cities and buildings.
That’s according to the UAE’s Minister of Climate Change and Environment Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi.
The ministry, in collaboration with the Dubai Land Department, launched a report on Tuesday that outlines various sustainable initiatives launched by countries in the region.
The report was prepared in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), DLD, MOCCAE and the United Nations to address the state of the environment in Arab cities, with a particular emphasis on real estate sustainability in buildings and construction.
Dr Zeyoudi explains its importance.
